Welcome to Mountain of the Lord! I would like to do all that I can to answer any questions about our church and to alleviate any fears you might have about stopping by and joining us for a worship service. I would encourage you to take a little time to explore our website. You will find information about our congregation and the WELS, which is a group of Lutheran Churches throughout the world who have joined together to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Here are a few questions I sometimes get from people who are interested in visiting for the first time.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code for our church services. I would say that most people treat it like casual Fridays at work. Some wear khakis and a polo shirt, others wear jeans and a T-shirt or sweater. The reality is that God is more worried about your heart than your clothes. Come in whatever makes you comfortable, as long as you come!

What are services like?

We try to do as much as we can to make our services as user-friendly as possible. The pastor takes time to explain what we are doing since we have guests on a regular basis. At the heart of our service is a sermon in which the pastor takes a truth from God’s Word and shares it in a relevant and practical way.

Will I be singled out?

We try to make our guests feel welcome without making them feel uncomfortable. So we will not single you out in any way, but we will try to make sure we can be as friendly and accommodating as possible. As you walk in our front doors you will be welcomed by helpful people who are happy to see you.

Will I be asked for money?

During our church service we do gather an offering. It is the way our members support the important work we do here in Rib Mountain and give thanks to God for all he has done for us. When you visit, you are our guest. We will not ask for money at any time.

Thanks for taking time to browse through our website. We hope to see you soon!
